{Events} Stomp Out Suicide 5K Run/Walk for Awareness

{This post is originally from May 29th, 2012. Links and dates have been changed to reflect new info for 2013.}

Five months ago a precious young life left this world far too soon. This summer we are going to honor her life and raise money so that others can become aware and get the help they need to try to prevent such a tragedy from happening in the future. Please read on for more details and put it on your calendar. It would mean a lot to our entire family if you are there!

This event is being created out of love and hope. The purpose is to raise suicide awareness in memory of Alissa M. Haines of Wyoming, MN and the funds that are raised from this event will be dedicated to the prevention of suicide. This is an event for the entire family and will revolve around a 5k Run/Walk at Goodview Park in Wyoming, MN on Saturday, August 24th, 2013. There will be entertainment for every age group and is meant for the whole family to enjoy. The spirit of the event will be one of fun, music, food, family and friends.

If you are interested in running, walking, skipping, hopping along, or even if you cannot make it and just want to make a donation to the event please visit the Official Registration Site and register.

Even if you don’t run or cannot walk, it turns out you are still welcome to come and bid on some of the great silent auction items being donated from local businesses and enjoy the food, music, and spirit of the event. Live music, kids area, and good food will go on in Goodview Park until noon.
